Job summary

HAN Staff in Butner, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for daytime 10‑hour shifts in a secure correctional healthcare setting. The role involves direct patient care under a RN or physician, medication administration, and ongoing vital signs monitoring.

You will work with a dedicated team to deliver high‑quality care, manage patient assessments, document in the EMR, and help with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV if required by licensing board.
• Copy of current certifications (BLS, N95 fit, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN or physician supervision.

Shift Details:

• 10hr
• Day shift - 06.00am - 04.30pm

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.
• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a LPN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
