Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, home-like environment. You will join a team of dedicated colleagues who value support, camaraderie, and lasting relationships with residents and associates.

Requirements include an active LPN license and CPR certification, 1–2 years nursing experience preferred, and experience with the elderly is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the appropriate directors and family per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors and guides Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via a case management process.
• Balances service demands with resident independence support.
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency systems as needed.
