Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is actively seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our caring team. You will provide nursing care in a warm, home-like environment, collaborating with a dedicated group to support residents and build lasting relationships with staff and families.

Key responsibilities include accurate resident assessments, monitoring changes, supervising care aides, and coordinating with providers to ensure seamless care.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably with elderly residents.
• Experience working with the elderly in paid or volunteer positions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports significant changes in resident behavior and health to the appropriate team.
• Directs and supervises daily work of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors Lead Resident Care Assistants in job duties.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via case management.
• Balances service demands with resident independence.
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse or neglect per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and uses personal emergency systems as needed.
