Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to support patient care across our centers. The role utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, applying broad clinical knowledge for competent nursing delivery.

Minimum qualifications include current Georgia LPN licensure and BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days). High School Diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in Georgia; BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: two years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' physical and emotional needs and provides appropriate care.
• Performs initial assessments and plans care with the physician.
• Documents interventions and communicates plans of care in writing and verbally.
• Administers and documents medications accurately.
• Implements infection control and safety practices.
• Organizes patient care and prioritizes acute needs with physician orders.
• Serves as a clinical resource for MOAs and other non-licensed staff.
• Maintains continuing education and participates in staff development.
• Precepts nursing students or new staff and supports cross-training.
