Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our patient care team in Braselton, GA. The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for center patients, collaborating with physicians to deliver safe, compassionate nursing services.

The ideal candidate holds GA LPN licensure, current BLS, a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an LPN in Georgia.
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s physical and emotional needs and provides appropriate care.
• Performs the initial assessment upon patient’s arrival and develops a plan of care with the Physician.
• Documents nursing interventions and implements Physician’s orders in a timely manner.
• Administers medications and documents administration according to policy.
• Maintains infection control practices and safety standards.
• Acts as a clinical resource for MOAs and other staff.
• Supports ongoing education and participates in in-service activities.
