Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care in a long-term care setting at the De Smet, SD location. The role reports to a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician and requires adherence to care plans and resident safety.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing nursing procedures, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. A valid LPN license and relevant CEU requirements are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold an LPN license.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Current unencumbered LPN license and required competencies/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident care and outcomes; communicate with care team.
• Maintain confidentiality and support interdisciplinary collaboration.

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
