Job summary

Good Samaritan Society – Desmet Center in De Smet, SD is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, day-shift role. You will provide nursing care under supervision, administer medications, and participate in an interdisciplinary care team to support residents in long-term care settings.

The position requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license; IV therapy requirements may apply in North Dakota.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision of RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and ensure safety of residents.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes, and maintain confidentiality.
