Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. You will administer medications, document care, and work under supervision with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold an active LPN license in state.
• IV therapy/management skills may be required depending on position and state regulations; verify local requirements.
• Experience in long-term care is a plus and ongoing CEU/certifications are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patient status.
• Document resident interactions, outcomes and care as required by care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other care team members to ensure quality care.
