Job summary

IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services, delivering training programs to diverse markets across the United States. This role focuses on developing and delivering classroom training, including hands-on demonstrations, to equip staff and customers with essential project management and software skills.

The trainer will create assessments, plan and conduct sessions, and evaluate effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of training experience or a related role.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in telecommunications, electrical, or a related technical or construction field preferred.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory and practice preferred.
  • Able to travel within the branch/ regional territory as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and provides trade-related, project management, and delivery training in the classroom, including hands-on demonstrations.
  • Develops pre-employment, trade-related job skill assessments (both hands-on and written).
  • Prepares employees to accomplish job results by developing, planning, conducting, and evaluating management training.
  • Conducts training needs assessments by collecting information on work procedures and reports.
  • Conducts training classes by presenting job-specific and company-specific software applications using computers, virtual classrooms, webinars, and other methods.
  • Evaluates training by assessing its effectiveness for specific job applications.
  • Administers exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
  • Implements training processes and best practices that add value and improve business performance.
  • Maintains personal knowledge, training, and proficiency on installed products and course materials.
  • Works with the training team to design and implement new training programs and revise existing ones.
  • Ensures a safe and pleasant learning environment for staff and students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
