Job summary

Meade is actively seeking an ICT Infrastructure Design Engineer I (Low Voltage) to join our Engineering team in Virginia. You will design data center infrastructure, cabling, and telecom spaces, producing BIM-ready drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

The role emphasizes structured cabling, backbone layouts, and coordination with electrical and civil disciplines. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in ICT/structured cabling design and a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field is required or preferred.
• RCDD certification is preferred but not mandatory for this non-software role.
• Experience in ICT/structured cabling design for data centers or mission-critical facilities is essential.
• Proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD and industry standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design ICT and network infrastructure systems including structured cabling and pathways.
• Develop LAN/WAN topology diagrams, cable routing, and physical infrastructure layouts.
• Create equipment schedules, specs, and SEF/OSP designs with civil/electrical teams.
• Support low-voltage systems (CCTV, access control) integration into total design.
• Prepare BIM-coordinated ICT models, drawings, and specifications in Autodesk tools.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders during construction.
• Contribute to design reviews, site visits, and RFIs with the project engineer.
