Job summary

Hoffman Construction seeks a Low Voltage Construction Manager to lead the on-site low voltage electrical team on hi-tech projects in Sunnyvale, CA. You will coordinate with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors to deliver complex electrical systems from preconstruction through commissioning.

The role emphasizes on-site quality control, RFI/submittal management, and effective startup coordination with project teams, owners, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of all aspects of low voltage electrical construction.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or field work experience
• Education background in materials and methods of construction
• A minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience
• Experience with industrial/hi-tech semiconductor projects
• LEED Accredited Professional or ability to become within 18 months preferred
• Familiar with CSI specification system for construction
• Strong collaboration with trades and field teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee low voltage electrical subcontractors and vendors to maintain installation schedules and support startup activities.
• Coordinate MEP system startups with design teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Review submittals and RFIs to ensure accuracy and functionality of MEP components.
• Organize training for Owner’s personnel on operations and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Prepare and publish meeting minutes, graphs, and activity checklists.
• Keep documentation complete, organized, and filed.
• Assist in estimating low voltage budgets and subcontractor buyouts.
• Manage subcontractor contracts and contract changes.
• Oversee billing and schedule of values for low voltage work.
