Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a Low Voltage Construction Manager to lead the electrical team on a large hi-tech project in Sunnyvale, CA.

You will coordinate with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors to resolve complex low voltage coordination issues across SECURITY/ACCESS CONTROL/RFID/DAS/TELECOM pathways, and will lead on-site quality control from preconstruction through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of low voltage electrical construction.
• Bachelor or higher in Electrical/Civil/Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience.
• Experience with industrial/hi‑tech semiconductor projects preferred.
• LEED AP or ability to become accredited within 18 months preferred.
• Familiarity with CSI specification systems for construction.
• Ability to work with trade personnel in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee low voltage subcontractors to maintain installation schedule and startup activities.
• Interpret construction documents, control sequences and technical manuals.
• Lead startup meetings with CM, design team, subs, and owners to coordinate MEP startups.
• Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements.
• Organize training for Owner’s personnel on MEP operations and maintenance.
• Manage submittals, RFIs and document control for project components.
• Lead onsite field construction office operations and provide technical guidance.
