Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician for Nashville, TN. Join our team on large commercial construction projects with structured cabling experience or a construction/electrical background, and grow in the low-voltage industry.

You will pull/terminate Cat5e/Cat6, fiber optics, and install pathways on active sites, using hand/power tools. Travel across Nashville is expected; onsite supervision and independent work are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in low-voltage structured cabling or construction/electrical background is preferred.
  • Experience pulling and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cable is a plus.
  • Fiber optic experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working on active construction sites.
  • Able to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and install Cat6 and fiber optic cabling.
  • Install cable pathways, cable tray, and J-hooks.
  • Terminate faceplates, jacks, and data cabling.
  • Work on large new-construction commercial projects.
  • Use hand tools, drills, ladders, and other basic construction equipment.
  • Work independently or alongside/lead other technicians depending on experience.
  • Follow direction from onsite leads and project supervisors.
  • Travel to different project sites throughout the Nashville area.

Low Voltage Cable Technician Nashville, TN

We are looking for Low Voltage Cable Technicians to join our team supporting large commercial construction projects throughout the Nashville area. This is a great opportunity for someone with structured cabling experience, or a construction/electrical background who wants to build a career in the low-voltage industry.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Pull and install Cat6 and fiber optic cabling
  • Install cable pathways, cable tray, and J-hooks
  • Terminate faceplates, jacks, and data cabling
  • Work on large new-construction commercial projects
  • Use hand tools, drills, ladders, and other basic construction equipment
  • Work independently or alongside/lead other technicians depending on experience

What We’re Looking For
  • Low-voltage, structured cabling, electrical, or construction experience preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
