Job summary

TEKsystems in Atlanta, GA is seeking technicians for on-site work to lead and support fiber and cable installation crews. The role is a contract-to-hire position based in Atlanta, offering $25–$32 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package, including per diem and standard company perks.

You will coordinate with project managers, supervise crew of 5, perform quality checks, and ensure safety and quality guidelines are followed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion and budget compliance.
• Complete internal/project paperwork on time: timesheets, work orders, change orders, transfers.
• Perform quality checks and prepare as-built drawings for voice/data cross connects.
• Be main on-site customer contact; attend facility/construction meetings as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with detailed technical knowledge.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description

Consistently run major project crews; assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training; assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings; initiate performance-related communications and elevate to Project Manager if necessary.

1. Coordinates with Project Manager/Project Lead to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget.
2. Fully completes all internal and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
3. Perform quality checks; coordinate moves and cut sheets for voice and data cross connects; prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
4. Serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and constructions meetings when required.
5. Performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
6. Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $32.00/hr.
