Job summary

OEG, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support field operations in Boise, Idaho. You will be trained by a senior Project Manager and shadow day-to-day activities across bid prep, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout documentation to ensure successful project delivery.

The role emphasizes developing project management, communication, and leadership skills within a construction environment. A strong foundation in electrical construction and related education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 5-year electrical apprentice program or a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering management or related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager position.
• Leadership experience in a field environment or construction management training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and be mentored by a full Project Manager.
• Assist in supervision and technical management on construction sites from bid preparation through closeout documentation.
• Understand contract limits, change orders, and pricing methods to support project delivery.
• Prepare and conduct pre-job meetings and manage team communications and safety processes.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and schedule updates to ensure positive cash flow.
