Job summary

Cache Valley Electric Company is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support commercial electrical construction projects. You will work with Project Managers, field leadership, general contractors, vendors and internal teams to coordinate activities, manage documentation, monitor schedules, and help ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction, understanding project coordination and construction processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Experience as Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager preferred.
• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and docs.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, POs, and schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of construction software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of commercial electrical projects.
• Support scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and scope of work for issues.
• Assist with procurement, equipment coordination, and material deliveries.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, COs, POs, minutes.
• Track progress, labor and materials, and overall performance.
• Participate in meetings and communicate updates and milestones.
• Support progress reports, billing docs, and change orders.
• Maintain relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and field personnel.
