Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a hospitality-minded individual for our SpringHill Suites Columbus Dublin location. You will take orders, prepare and serve drinks and light meals to guests, while ensuring prompt, courteous service and adherence to brand standards.

Minimum one year of experience in restaurant or food and beverage is required; ServSafe or similar training is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and flexibility for varying shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field.
• Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers clearly.
• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training a plus.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
• Basic math calculations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications.
• Maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in all service tasks.
• Coordinate with General Manager, department managers, supervisors and staff to ensure smooth operations.
