Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver outstanding customer service. You will monitor entrances and high‑risk areas, greet customers with a friendly, energetic approach, and support shortage reduction programs.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in retail or asset protection, can stand for long periods, and collaborate with store leadership on safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, confident, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks in a safe, compliant manner.
• Educate team on shortage reduction programs and safety standards.
