Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report any theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty while upholding Burlington’s standards.

The role emphasizes professionalism, situational awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle fast-paced environments with focus and discipline.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, friendly greeting and professional demeanor.
• Identify theft incidents and report to Manager on Duty promptly.
• Lead by example, train associates on shortage reduction practices as needed.
