Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will greet customers, monitor entrances and high‑risk areas, and partner with store leadership to deter theft and ensure safety.

Part-time role requiring strong awareness, reliable attendance, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Base pay starts at $15.30 per hour with benefits for eligible part-time associates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail or loss prevention preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers; reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident greeting and eye contact.
• Perform bag and package checks following safety and security standards.
• Report theft incidents to Manager on Duty and assist with store rallies.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs.
