Overview
We are looking for a Longo Lexus Master Technician who can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment, as we are the #1 Lexus Dealership in the Western US. The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing and performing vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned, in accordance with factory and dealership standards. The Technician also communicates with the management team and service consultants regarding service repairs and recommendations.
The Master Technician position offers a pay scale with a base hourly wage starting at $32.00, depending on experience. There may also be a production bonus based on individual or team performance, ranging from $0.00 (if benchmarks are not met) to an unlimited upper limit.
*This position is 100% on-site at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
- Complete a variety of vehicle repairs, from oil changes to engine rebuilds.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Repair vehicles according to estimates and manufacturer standards.
- Road test vehicles to verify quality of work.
- Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
- Communicate with Service Advisors about additional work, unnecessary work, or repair delays.
- Follow safety requirements and procedures.
- Document all work and findings thoroughly.
- Meet production goals set by management.
- Assist with warranty repair orders and other tasks as assigned.
- Coordinate with Parts Department regarding parts status.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in good condition and organization.
- Maintain professional grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
- Perform administrative functions as directed.
- Uphold high ethical standards.
- Report to work on time to provide excellent service.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Automotive Technology.
- At least three years of automotive experience or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 ASE certifications.
- Knowledge of machinery, tools, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in mathematical principles.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and diagnose issues.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to understand instructions in English.
- Valid California driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent bending, stretching, reaching, and talking/hearing.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
- Lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Various positions to accomplish tasks, including standing or sitting for long periods.
- Operate motor vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
