Overview

We are looking for a candidate who can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in a quick, thorough manner, as assigned, and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and standards.

The Express Lube Technician is also responsible for communicating with the management team, service consultants, and guests at all points of service repair. This is a full-time position. Our Express Lube Technicians get to work with an amazing team, and by working for Longo Lexus, they are surrounded by the best.

The position offers a pay scale with the following elements: a base hourly wage starting at $19.00, and potential production bonuses based on individual or team performance, which may range from $0.00 (if benchmarks are not met) to an unlimited amount.

*This position is 100% on-site at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Performs oil changes on guest vehicles.
• Inspects oil, cabin, air filters, and vehicle fluid levels; replaces or replenishes as necessary.
• Checks tire pressures and adds air as needed.
• Rotates tires and inspects brake linings, drums, pads, and discs.
• Performs thorough vehicle checks, referring needed repairs and preventive maintenance to ASM.
• Documents all work performed on repair orders and inspection sheets.
• Operates and maintains lubrication equipment in good condition.
• Assists the service department as needed.
• Operates all tools and equipment safely.
• Achieves production objectives set by management.
• Maintains an organized and clean workspace.
• Maintains high ethical standards and professional appearance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive program/school required or currently enrolled.
• At least one year of automotive repair experience preferred; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required.
• Proficient in basic math principles.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and diagnose operating errors.
• Attention to detail and ability to understand instructions in English.
• Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
