The Collision Center Refinish Apprentice Technician is responsible for refinishing damaged body parts in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn about collision centers in the automotive industry. The position offers a base hourly wage of $17.50, with pay scale details provided upon application. It is a 100% on-site role at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities include:

• Learning vehicle refinishing techniques under supervision
• Inspecting vehicles for quality standards
• Mixing paints to match vehicle colors
• Preparing vehicles for painting, including filling dents and applying primer
• Buffing and waxing finished paintwork
• Applying logos or designs using measuring tools and stencils
• Maintaining safety and protective equipment
• Operating shop equipment safely
• Assisting in other areas as needed

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of vehicle replenishing experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of tools, safety regulations, and basic mathematics
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

Physical Demands:

• Color matching and visual acuity
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operating vehicles and equipment
