Position: Long Term Substitute 5th Grade Teacher

Location: Carlos Elementary School

Carlos Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Long Term Substitute 5th Grade Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young students, encouraging academic, social, and emotional growth and will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state and national standards while fostering creativity and critical thinking.

Long term Sub Dates: approximately November 30, 2026 through December 22, 2026.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of 5th grade students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
• Use various teaching methods to engage students and promote active learning, including hands‑on activities, group projects, and interactive technology.
• Assess student performance through formal and informal evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to support academic progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to report on student progress and collaborate on any necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the overall educational experience at the school.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and any relevant documentation.
• Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Compensation:

$165.00 per day
