Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with self-contained instructional models preferred.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and implement behavior supports as needed.
• Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for assigned students.
• Provide direct specialized instruction in a self-contained setting.
• Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff.
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support plans.
• Participate in evaluations, problem-solving teams, and school improvement initiatives.
