Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an on-site role in Illinois for the 2026-2027 school year. You will work with elementary and/or middle school classrooms, delivering instruction and collaborating with classroom paras to support an inclusive environment.

Ideal candidates are passionate professionals focused on maximizing student success, with strong knowledge of IEP development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement required.
• Experience in an elementary and/or middle school setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with paras, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct instruction and adapt curriculum based on individual IEPs.
• Work with classroom paras to support and reinforce student learning.
• Monitor progress and document student performance, updating IEPs as necessary.
• Partner with families and staff to facilitate the best outcomes for each learner.
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
• Participate in professional development and regular team meetings.
