Job summary

Chelsea Public Schools is seeking a Substitute - Long Term Sub Teacher, Special Education (ELC) for the Chelsea Early Learning Center in Chelsea, Massachusetts. The assignment may be available between November 2026 and February 2026 and starts immediately.

The role requires planning, instruction, and assessment of diverse learners, including those with 504 plans and language needs. A valid MA license is preferred and bilingual credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Long Term Substitute: possess an undergraduate degree.
• Knowledge of MA Curriculum frameworks, curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• MA licensed teacher preferred; ESL and/or Spanish bilingual credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs of diverse learners.
• Meet and instruct assigned students at designated times and locations.
• Use instructional strategies and technologies to increase student learning.
• Maintain accurate records and provide progress reports as required.
• Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress and needs.
• Support students with disabilities in a general education setting and promote equity.
