Qualifications

• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and response to intervention helpful
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
• Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education teacher licensure in grade and subject area appropriate for the assignment
• Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement for core content teachers
• Bilingual Spanish
• Dual certification in ESL and/or Moderate Disabilities

Responsibilities

• Plan and assess curriculum and instruction.
• Meet and instruct assigned students at designated times and locations.
• Plan a program of study aligned with standards and objectives.
• Deliver effective instruction and use appropriate instructional techniques.
• Utilize innovative approaches and technology to improve student learning.
• Maintain a conducive classroom environment and high standards for achievement and behavior.
• Document student progress and communicate with parents and district staff.
• Protect students, equipment, and facilities and maintain accurate records.
