Job summary

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, Inc. seeks a Refugee & Migrant Long-Term Case Manager to provide holistic, long-term case management for vulnerable clients. You will develop Self-Sufficiency Plans and conduct periodic assessments to promote self-sufficiency.

Role emphasizes advocacy, collaboration with internal and external partners, and crisis response, in line with agency policies and the NASW ethics framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is preferred.
• Fluency in English; second language preferred (e.g., Burmese, Karen, Dari, Swahili).
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multilingual environment.
• Strong typing and internet skills; familiarity with Outlook, Excel and databases.
• Able to collaborate with outside agencies and advocate for clients.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to respond to people in crisis; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for refugees and immigrants in Long-Term Case Management.
• Explain rights and responsibilities; document services and progress in electronic files.
• Follow agency guidelines for service provision and documentation.
• Use a strengths-based approach to help clients achieve self-sufficiency.
• Receive referrals and participate in case conferences to ensure continuity of care.
• Develop Self-Sufficiency Plans (SSP) and conduct regular client meetings.
