Job summary

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is seeking a Refugee & Migrant Long-Term Case Manager to provide comprehensive case management to vulnerable clients. The role includes creating intake self-sufficiency plans and ongoing assessments to promote long-term independence within the agency's Refugee & Migrant Services.

The position emphasizes collaboration with partners, advocacy, and adherence to NASW ethics, with required trainings and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related human service field or comparable experience.
• English fluency; second language ability (Burmese, Karen, Dari, Swahili, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multilingual environment.
• Proficient typing and computer skills; familiarity with Outlook, Excel and databases.
• Collaborative, reliable, punctual, and responsive to people in crisis.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for a caseload of refugees and immigrants in the Long-Term Case Management program.
• Develop Self-Sufficiency Plans (SSP) with clients and monitor progress.
• Document services and track progress in electronic case files.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure holistic support.
• Respond to crises with appropriate resources and maintain ethical boundaries.
• Conduct home and field visits as required.
• Advocate for clients and assist with transportation and language access.
