Job summary

Synchrony Pharmacy is seeking an orderly and detail-oriented Order Entry Technician to support long-term care operations. You will enter customer orders, verify physician information, and process new medication orders and refills in a team-based, non-customer-facing environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, clear communication, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure timely order processing and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in order entry or pharmacy support.
• Board Licensed and/or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred or state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders accurately into the order entry system, including product type, quantity, pricing, and shipping details.
• Verify physician information and enter new medication orders and refills.
• Triage and distribute orders from document imaging software.
• Respond to customer concerns and forward escalations to the Order Entry Supervisor.
• Review orders for completeness and accuracy against available information.
• Assist related departments in preparing and shipping orders to designated locations.
• Evaluate inventory records to confirm medication availability.
• Answer calls and provide customer service solutions.
