Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A tractor-trailer driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations. You will operate long-haul tractor-trailers, perform pre-trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, maintain logs, and comply with DOT regulations.

Overnight stays may be required; HazMat endorsement within 120 days may be needed. Starting pay includes $0.7522 per mile for linehaul duties and $32.66 per hour for non-linehaul duties, with additional pay

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazMat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Clean MVR meeting hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles (triples where allowed).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from tractors.
• Complete required documentation and maintain logs.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations and company policies.
