Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a CDL-equipped driver responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between service centers and turn-points. The role involves operating tractor-trailers, including doubles/triples where applicable, and performing pre-trip inspections.

The position requires compliance with DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and accurate documentation. Expect long-haul routes, varying hours, and a structured pay framework including mileage and hourly components.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements (automatic allowed).
• 1 year experience in last 3 years or completion of FedEx Driver Development Course.
• MVR meets hiring standards.
• Meets DOT 391 FMC regulatory requirements.
• LCV experience in AZ, CO, FL, ID, IN, KS, MT, ND, NV, OH, OK, OR, SD, UT.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Drive long distances day and night in all weather.
