Job summary

DSV is seeking a Team Lead for the 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.) to oversee warehousing activities, including receiving, shipping, and distribution. You will mentor associates, enforce SOPs, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires coordinating with supervisors, managing labor, and maintaining accurate paperwork and reporting. This position is based in Denton, TX, and is full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities.
• Train staff on Standard Operating Procedures, including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
• Assist in forklift operation and certification for associates.
• Oversee unloading inbound shipments and stacking product, and the picking and staging outbound shipments.
• Verify inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers and ensure products are counted.
• Load orders efficiently according to doors and trailers.
• Use documentation to ensure orders are received or shipped correctly and picked.
• Verify products meet quality standards and report damages or discrepancies.
• Stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products following SOPs.
• Report inconsistencies to the supervisor and participate in quality meetings.
• Comply with ISO standards, execute safety protocols, and maintain a clean warehouse.
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area and assist in warehouse security.
• Follow SOPs, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards and participate in safety meetings.
• Direct warehouse team to meet objectives and assist with productivity sheets.
• Help maintain staffing levels and schedule work.
• Ensure proper assignment and completion of tasks.
• Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective actions through designated channels.
• Escalate non-conformities to the Quality Department.
• Operate equipment such as sit-down/stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks and scrubbers.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and inspected daily.
• Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform clerical tasks like answering phones and scheduling as guided.
