Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Denton, Texas, seeks an Operations Manager for the 2nd shift to oversee daily warehousing, receiving and shipping, ensuring service and cost objectives are met.

Lead a supervisory team, hire and train staff, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while meeting client KPIs and safety standards.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to workflow planning and equipment management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7 years in logistics/distribution environment.
• 5 years in supervisory role.
• Ability to work nights/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems for safe, profitable operations.
• Lead daily warehousing, receiving, and shipping.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff.
• Meet KPI targets and client SLAs.
• Manage budget and cost controls.
• Plan inbound/outbound volume and space.
• Partner with HR for staffing and development.
• Communicate with clients and senior management.
