Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Team Lead for 1st shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) in Denton, TX. The role oversees warehousing, receiving and shipping activities, mentors staff, and ensures safety, quality and cost objectives are met.

You will train staff on SOPs, supervise loading/unloading, verify paperwork, and handle performance reporting while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year experience in a logistics/distribution environment.
• Forklift certification preferred or required.
• Ability to operate MHE and work in varying warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new and existing associates on distribution activities and SOPs.
• Oversee loading/unloading, picking, and staging per SOPs and verify paperwork.
• Maintain professional communications with customers and prepare activity reports.
• Ensure quality control, verify product conditions, and report discrepancies.
• Enforce safety, housekeeping, and OSHA compliance across the warehouse.
• Direct warehouse staff, adjust schedules, and manage labor to meet objectives.
• Initiate corrective actions for non-conformities and document issues.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely; ensure forklift certification is current.
• Perform maintenance tasks and support additional administrative duties.
• Willing to work evenings/weekends and take on additional duties as needed.
