Job summary

Allen Lund Company seeks a Customer Service Representative to coordinate truckload and LTL movements, acting as the liaison between offices and customers. The role focuses on delivering reliable transportation support for dry, refrigerated, and flatbed cargo.

You will ensure clear communication, manage issues with traffic departments, and maintain a strong customer service focus in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

• Strong customer service orientation and work ethic; experience in Freight Brokerage/customer service is a plus.
• Demonstrate negotiation and problem-solving skills; ability to handle conflict.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with quick information processing and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Load Distribution: manage and distribute both EDI loads and manual tenders to various offices.
• Reporting: provide daily service reports and update the DSR for problem loads company-wide.
• Bidding: coordinate bidding on off contract with value-added service.
• Route Coordination: optimize loading and delivery patterns to minimize time and miles traveled.
• Maintain Customer Image: uphold reliability with customers; enhance company image.
• Issue Resolution: communicate with traffic departments on daily issues.
• Pricing: determine a fair price to charge the customer with management oversight.
• Product Communication: communicate shipping requirements and temperature handling for produce loads.
