Job summary

Amber International in New Jersey is seeking a Logistics Supply Chain Specialist to coordinate and optimize the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or import/export coordination.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, customs documentation, and Incoterms.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and ownership.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor import shipments, ensure documentation accuracy and customs compliance.
  • Maintain records of shipments, tariffs, duties, and related docs.
  • Work with warehouse to release goods and ensure accurate order processing.
  • Negotiate freight rates and contracts to optimize costs.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and sales to forecast demand.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, trade regulations, and safety standards.
  • Prepare reports and analytics on logistics performance and costs.

Job description

The Logistics Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery. This role requires strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and freight partners to support daily business operations.

This position is an in-office position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Monitor and track all import shipments, ensuring timely delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with customs and import regulations, providing updates to sales and customer service teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, tariffs, duties, and related documentation.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to release goods, prepare outbound shipments, and ensure timely and accurate order processing.
  • Evaluate and negotiate freight rates and carrier contracts to optimize costs.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and sales departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and safety standards.
  • Prepare reports and analytics related to logistics performance, cost, and delivery metrics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or import/export coordination preferred.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, customs documentation, and Incoterms.
  • Must be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
