The Supply Chain Solutions Engineer designs, analyzes, and implements end-to-end supply chain solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, cost, and service levels. This role partners cross-functionally with operations, IT, procurement, logistics, and external partners to translate business requirements into optimized, technology-enabled supply chain solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Solution Design & Optimization
• Design supply chain solutions across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation.
• Analyze current-state processes and develop future-state models to improve cost, service, and resilience.
• Develop network optimization, capacity planning, and inventory optimization models.
• Support make/buy, sourcing, and distribution strategy decisions.
• Data Analysis & Modeling
• Build quantitative models using data analytics, simulation, and scenario analysis.
• Use tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or specialized supply chain software to evaluate tradeoffs.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to track solution performance.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to implement supply chain systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP, planning tools).
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Support system testing, deployment, and post-implementation optimization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with operations, procurement, finance, sales, and customer teams.
• Support RFPs, vendor evaluations, and solution costing.
• Present solution recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitization, and process standardization.
• Lead or support Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, operations, consulting, or solutions design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing or optimizing supply chain networks, processes, or systems.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis; experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and supply chain tools (Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Manhattan, SAP IBP, etc.).
• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, e-commerce, or distribution environments.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
• Consulting or customer-facing experience.
