Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC is seeking an organized shipping/receiving associate to manage records for incoming and outgoing shipments. You will coordinate product acceptance, delivery, and storage, resolve damages, shortages, and nonconformance, and maintain accurate documentation with carriers and customers.

The role requires basic math, experience with WMS and Microsoft Office, and the ability to travel occasionally by automobile or airplane for business purposes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or minimum 1 year experience in shipping/receiving.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with carriers to resolve damages, shortages, and nonconformance.
• Arrange shipping and delivery and select methods based on procedures, routes, and rates.
• Examine shipment contents and verify against records (manifests, invoices, orders).
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents (bills of lading, work orders).
• Record and report shipment data including weight, charges, space, damages, and discrepancies.
• Maintain correspondence with customers and document communications to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in answering phones and supporting warehouse operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
