Job summary

Distribution International is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Hammond, Indiana. You will support the Logistics and Customer Service teams, handling shipment coordination, OS&D claims, and invoice reviews to ensure on-time deliveries and optimized carrier performance.

The role requires 1 year of web-based TMS experience, knowledge of freight audit, and MS Office proficiency. Local travel is minimal, and the position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics procedures, regulations and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound shipments with 3PL, customer service and end customers.
• Review 3PL daily late load reports and ensure late shipments are resolved.
• Initiate OS&D claims and monitor 3PL in closing requests.
• Prepare and analyze weekly 3PL invoices against negotiated pricing.
• Liaise between 3PL and IT to resolve TMS issues and prevent disruption.
• Manage rental trailer fleet location, tracking and utilization.
• Prepare and update reports as requested by Logistics Manager.
