Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Transportation Supervisor for our Pennsauken, NJ domicile. This role supports the transportation manager in supervising delivery and backhauls, training staff, and ensuring safety and compliance with government regulations.

The candidate will manage schedules, collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams, and uphold Food Safety Standards and SOPs while maintaining accurate logs and reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; 2-4 years transportation experience preferred.
• 2-4 years transportation experience
• Class A CDL is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation staff.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations and maintain logs.
• Oversee labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepare work schedules and coordinate shifts as needed.
• Assist with training of new associates and cross-training of existing staff.
• Direct proper selection and utilization of company assets for delivery.
• Coordinate required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
