Amentum is seeking a Materials Inspector/Handler for the 1st Shift (Tue–Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm; Sat 7:00 am–3:30 pm). This NTE role runs through 30 June 2027 in a shop environment with hazardous equipment and potential travel.

Responsibilities include identifying and disposing of material per regulations, reading specs, using blueprints under mentoring, and preparing labels and basic reports. Physical work requires lifting up to 45 lbs and outdoor work in varied weather.

Formación

• Minimum three months general work experience; no specific experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection.
• Must complete Inert Certification training requirements.
• Position may require travel.
• Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material per regulations.
• Visual examination or use of measuring devices under mentoring of senior personnel.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in the DLA contract.
• Use blueprints or schematics under mentoring of senior personnel.
• Load material on/off of skids, pallets, stands; prepare labels; input data to systems.
• Prepare basic reports; operate tools and equipment as needed.
