Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Material Inspector/Receiving & Shipping Associate for 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday) in the United States. Primary duties include inspecting, classifying, and disposing of material to meet customer requirements, with mentoring for reading blueprints and measurements.

Must obtain MHE license within 30 days. Responsibilities cover loading/unloading, labeling, basic reporting, and inputting data into automated systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months general work experience demonstrates ability to perform requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection.
• Position may require travel and ability to pass/obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material per regulations.
• Visual examination or measurement may be performed under mentoring of senior personnel.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• Load material on/off skids, pallets, stands; prepare labels.
