Job summary

Maersk in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking an Operations Support to manage freight forwarding shipments across multiple modes, ensuring high-level operations excellence and quality customer service.

You will recap shipments, quote and invoice domestic shipments, prepare routing paperwork, and communicate status to customers and dispatch, while adhering to TSA/KSMS regulations. A background in customer service or operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or operations experience preferred - 1 year.
• Strong multitasking ability with precise attention to detail.
• Good negotiation and communication skills; able to work independently.
• Financial acumen with invoicing and payables experience.

Responsibilities

• Recap shipments and code transportation expenses per tariff or quote.
• Answer customer service calls with a focus on service quality.
• Quote, cost and invoice domestic shipments by air and ground.
• Prepare paperwork for routing, close files, and send docs on time.
• Update customers and dispatch with shipment status; maintain system data.
• Adhere to TSA/KSMS and other regulatory standards for booking/routing.
• Data entry of shipments into the transportation management system.
• Upload documents to the document management system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
