Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Ops Specialist in Pontiac, MI. The role focuses on specialized operational functions for SCS customers, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, reporting, and process optimization.

The position supports new hire training and process improvements within a fast-paced logistics environment. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and experience in logistics.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• One year or more in logistics, warehouse or related field.
• One year or more of supervisory experience preferred.
• WMS intermediate preferred.
• MHE intermediate required.
• OSHA intermediate required.
• DOT and Hazmat intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily/shift goals of facility and work groups; report plans to meet operational goals.
• Assist with and train hourly, SNE or other specialists.
• Lead and initiate employees through in-depth training and policy/process review.
• Decision making for location activities including demand planning and supplier/customer interactions.
• Support development of system and process training; perform operational administrative functions.
• Identify and solve operational issues via continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
