Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support our SCS operations. The role involves communicating shift goals, training and supervising staff, and making operational decisions to optimize demand planning and supplier interactions.

We offer a salary between $50,000 and $55,000 annually, with standard salaried pay. The position requires on-site work across multiple shifts, focusing on accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement within a Fortune 500 logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Organizational and time-management abilities are essential.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in leading and training others is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily/shift goals and plans to achieve operational targets.
• Assist and train hourly staff and other specialists.
• Lead with in-depth training and ongoing policy reviews.
• Make location decisions for demand planning and supplier interactions.
• Support system and process training for staff; perform admin duties as needed.
• Identify and resolve operational issues through continuous improvement.
