Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager in Michigan to lead the Distribution Center and supervise the warehousing and transportation operations. The role involves direct customer interface to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction, plus strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will guide a safety-focused culture, manage personnel, and monitor performance. A strong background in logistics, leadership, and P&L awareness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred; Master's degree preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field.
• Five+ years of managing, leading and developing direct reports.
• One+ year of customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with customers to resolve issues and maintain high satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the account.
• Identify and solve operational issues using continuous improvement and LEAN.
• Hire, supervise, develop, and manage performance of team.
• Maintain open communication within teams and with other groups.
• Possibly manage profit & loss depending on scope.
• Lead a safety program and enforce safety plans; monitor equipment maintenance.
