• Proficient in Microsoft Office and trade documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Provide supervision and control for all departmental activities; train staff and customers; conduct staff meetings and address performance issues.
• Oversee shipment documentation accuracy and compliance with federal and foreign regulations.
• Compute duties, tariffs, and value conversions; communicate with customs officials to obtain release of freight.
• Establish and revise policies for customs clearance; ensure consistent application.
• Identify and address areas of concern in import/export processes via audits and reviews.
• Maintain flexible work schedule including outside normal hours and on-call rotation.
• Participate in department projects related to responsibility area.
