Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor I for first shift in Whitsett, NC to oversee transportation and customs processes and provide customer service for shipments in compliance with regulations.

You will supervise staff, monitor performance, review shipment documents, and implement policies to improve efficiency. A high school diploma and several years in logistics plus supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required with 4+ years related experience.
Minimum one year supervisory experience; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.
Three years of industry experience preferred.
Working knowledge of ITAR, import/export regulations and recordkeeping.
Proficiency in MS Office and related software applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
Provide supervision and control for all departmental activities; supervise staff and participate in training and staff development.
Oversee shipment documentation accuracy; ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations.
Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions and communicate with customs officials as needed.
Establish and revise policies for customs clearance operations; ensure consistent application.
Identify areas of concern in import/export processes through audits and client reviews.
Coordinate with operations manager on progress and issues; participate in department projects.
